With the monies remaining from our 2007 Event we were able to institute an annual scholarship award at Edison's JP Stevens High School in Sal's memory (Sal's Alma Mater).

On May 22, 2008 Sal's parents and members of the Edison Division of Fire awarded the first "Sal's Ride Scholarship Fund" of $400 to a graduating JP Stevens senior.

For 2009 we were able to supply 2 - $500 dollar scholarships, one each to JP Stevens and Edison HS.
