Prior to Sal being appointed as a career firefighter with the Edison Division of Fire, he was a long time member of Oak Tree Volunteer Fire Co., out of Station 5. Although assigned to Station 1 at the time of his passing, he spent many days and nights at Station 5, before and after his appointment.

Station 5 was selected by his closest friends as the right location for this small garden.

Proceeds from the T-shirt sales were used to purchase various plants and shrubs with a members connections for a discount. The stones, boulders, topsoil and mulch were donated by several members.

There is a plaque now on the front rock, it rained like heck about 15 minutes after the first shovelful was removed! So we had to wait for the stone to dry out.
